Fragile clay soils, among the oldest in Marlborough, retain water while encouraging roots to migrate deep into cooler subsoils, supporting structure and minerality.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ewa-rteLine\"\u003eThe 2018\/2019 growing season delivered excellent quality fruit with low disease pressure. Very low yields were targeted, with additional crop thinning around veraison to enhance concentration and varietal expression. Warm daytime temperatures supported ripening, while cool Marlborough nights helped preserve natural acidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ewa-rteLine\"\u003eThis Chardonnay shows white peach and lemon layered with toasted hazelnut and flinty complexity.
