Giesen’s Christmas Gift Guide For Christmas Wine

You’ve put your hand up and promised to look after the wines for Christmas.

Chances are the wine preferences of your guests are as diverse as they are – don’t worry Giesen has something for every wine lover!

For the wine snob
Theo, Alex and Marcel Giesen wanted to push the boundaries for Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. So they came up with The August 1888 – named after their grandfather – this proves Sauvignon Blanc can make complex, ‘serious’ wines.

For the pinot freak
Our Single Vineyard Pinot Noir wines have been winning awards, including the Ridge Block 2013 being named WORLD’S BEST PINOT NOIR at the IWSC this year. Serve the one of the Giesen Single Vineyard Pinot Noir wines from our renowned Marlborough vineyards. Job done!

For the hippy
Giesen Organic Sauvignon Blanc is the answer. This fragrant drop has aromas of lime, crushed nettles and lemon grass and it tastes damn fine – it will win over the most dedicated nature lover.

For the ABC (Anything But Chardonnay)
Could you give us a real challenge? While we do have great chardonnay our reputation was built on Giesen Estate Sauvignon Blanc and that’s definitely our number one. The Estate range also offers a Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.

For the ‘anything from Marlborough’ crew
What can we say! This wine lover has impeccable style – just like Giesen. We have 12 Marlborough vineyards on 274 hectares – we are Marlborough! Point them in the direction of Giesen The Brothers.

For the ‘I’m driving’
No worries. Giesen has the solution at hand. Enjoy a glass of Giesen 0% – Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

For the trend-lover
The trend-lover is always on the lookout for the next big thing, so grab a bottle of Giesen Estate Blush Riesling. It is summer in a bottle and the perfect wine for the cocktail of the moment – the frozen Rosé known as the Frosé.

And what’s for dessert?
Put New Zealand’s best dessert wine on your table. Giesen The Brothers Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc is a multiple Trophy winner, collecting two Champion Trophies at the recent 30th Air New Zealand Wine Awards. Need we say more?
