Drum roll….
Giesen is delighted to introduce an exciting new Rosé – just in time for summer!
In recent years Rosé has made a resurgence and let’s face it Rosé is a great wine that deserves a place at every gathering!
Lets celebrate the new Giesen Rosé made from Merlot grapes grown in the wonderful, sunny Hawkes Bay.
Giesen Chief Winemaker Nikolai St George says after harvest the Merlot grapes went through a light Champagne press followed by limited time on skins so minimal colour was extracted. The juice was then made as if it was a white wine, it was settled, racked and fermented cool and clear to preserve fruit aroma. Finally to preserve brightness it was fined.
All this attention to detail adds up to a Giesen Rosé that is fresh and crisp meaning it’s refreshing and enjoyable whatever the occasion.
Giesen Rosé is perfect on its own as an aperitif or an awesome complement to lighter flavours such as seafood, shellfish or a simple pasta salad. What’s more Giesen Rosé is the ideal wine to create the summer’s coolest drink – a Frosé cocktail!
We’ll have more on our #GiesenFrosé shortly – in the meantime why not grab a Giesen Rosé and try it for yourself?
