Sauvignon Blanc Day Celebrate a great wine for great times with family and friends.
For more than 35 years Giesen Sauvignon Blanc has been giving us an opportunity to bring together family and friends for great times – so its appropriate we toast it – and in fact all Sauvignon Blanc!
Fortunately an occasion has been created for just that. Friday 5 May 2017 is Sauvignon Blanc Day – a chance to get together with friends and family to celebrate this amazing grape.
As well as celebrating the fun and the memories it has created the day is an opportunity to explore all that Sauvignon Blanc has to offer. Think you know Sauv Blanc? Think again!
If you’re lucky enough to be in Sauvignon Blanc central aka, Marlborough on Friday 5 May be sure to pop into our Cellar Door. Victoria and the team have a whole day of special Sauvignon Blanc tastings. They will also one of the famous German oak Fuder Barrels on hand to illustrate why it makes some of our Sauvignon Blanc so special.
Don’t worry if you’re not in Marlborough, we have such a variety of Sauvignon Blanc you can arrange a group of family of friends for a tasting, or maybe just get a bottle in to reward yourself for the end of the week.
Between our ranges, Giesen has seven Sauvignon Blancs – that means something for all tastes. Giesen Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Giesen Lighter in Alcohol Sauvignon Blanc, Giesen Organic Sauvignon Blanc, The Brothers Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, depending upon the vintage we usually have at least two single vineyard Fuder Sauvignon Blancs, Giesen The August Barrel Aged Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 1888 and, to finish off, our multi-award winning, Giesen Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc. Each is a unique take on Sauvignon Blanc, offering a different flavour profile and style.
Do you prefer more oak in your white? Head for The August 1888, which is barrel fermented. Ever been curious about organic wine? Giesen has a great option for you, too, which tastes quite different from our other offerings.
So if you think you’ve tasted everything Sauvignon Blanc has to offer, it’s time to think again! Organise a group of friends and crack a bottle or two this Friday 5 May 2016 on International Sauvignon Blanc Day. Be part of the global conversation via Facebook and Twitter using #SauvBlanc and enjoy!
