This 42 acre vineyard was planted in 1996 with Sauvignon Blanc & Gewurztraminer vines. The soil has good topsoil depth and is heavy with underlying clays. It’s 9km from the coast and 2km from Wairau River, and has good water holding capacity.
Controlling the amount of fruit produced on this vineyard means it delivers more citrus, tamarillo, and passionfruit flavours. Fruit from the older vines have great intensity.
