Chardonnay

A vibrant Chardonnay from the Hawke's Bay wine region, a region that consistently produces leading examples of Chardonnay.

Fruit for our Chardonnay comes from throughout the Hawke’s Bay wine region on the East Coast of the North Island which is known for producing exceptional Chardonnay wines.

Selecting premium parcels of Chardonnay fruit, once harvested we make the wine in Hawke’s Bay to ensure we don’t compromise on the quality of the fruit by transporting it down to our winery in Marlborough.

A fresh and vibrant Chardonnay with beautiful ripe peach and nectarine flavours, a luscious texture with a spicy cedar finish.

Giesen Estate

Great wines are the ones we remember from fun experiences with family and friends, that’s why we created Giesen Estate. Our Estate wines showcase distinctive regional varieties which are generous, smooth, relaxing and most of all taste great.

Winemaking

Following harvest the grapes are carefully pressed before fermentation.

The wine then spends six months on yeast lees to integrate its oak and add creaminess and complexity to the palate.

Reviews

"2015 Vintage: Primary, youthful, fruity and fresh with aromas and flavours of red apple, pear, white stone fruits and mild wood flavours. Gentle layer of baking spices and wood tones, plenty of acidity adding freshness and charm. Balanced and well made with a medium length and finish. Best drinking from now and through 2020. "
