Crispy five spice scented, Peking Duck pancakes, hoisin sauce, Asian greens.
A silky smooth, titillating Pinot Noir from the Wairau Valley in Marlborough.
A Pinot Noir with vibrant red cherry, bramble, earthy nuances and warm spice. Silky, smooth, supple and well-structured.
We select fruit from vineyards throughout the Wairau Valley in the Marlborough wine region.
The highly sought-after Wairau Valley is an ancient river bed nestled between two mountain ranges and bordered to the North by Cook Strait. Broadly speaking, this finite sub-region of Marlborough covers cooler, drier inland sites, barren stony, early-ripening sites to sea-breeze moderated coastal sites.
This scope gives us the ability to consistently blend to our Giesen style year in, year out, which gives us a bright, aromatic and elegant style of Pinot Noir.
Great wines are the ones we remember sharing with family and friends - that’s why we created Giesen Estate. Our Estate wines showcase distinctive regional varieties which are generous, smooth, relaxing and most of all, taste great!
Marlborough - Wairau Valley
We harvest our Pinot Noir early in the harvest season to retain acidity and to get bright, fresh flavours.
We do warmer ferments on our Pinot Noir to bring out colour and flavours in the wine.
We age our Giesen Estate Pinot Noir on French oak for 8 months.
