For Our Low and No Alcohol Wines
The low and no alcohol category continues to grow globally, reflecting a shift in how people choose to enjoy wine. From mindful moderation to alcohol-free occasions, more consumers are seeking quality alternatives — and expectations are rising.
From the beginning, our vision was clear: if we were going to make low and no alcohol wines, they had to reflect the same philosophy as every other Giesen wine. Vineyard first. Flavour first. Quality without compromise.
The idea was born during a company-wide health challenge, but the ambition quickly grew. We wanted to craft wines that honoured the character of our New Zealand vineyards while meeting the needs of those looking for balance and choice.
Today, those efforts are being recognised on the international stage.
International Recognition
Our 0% and lighter-alcohol wines have received strong results at major global competitions, including the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC), where the alternative drinks category continues to gain momentum.
Judges have noted the rapid evolution of quality in the low alcohol space, recognising the innovation and technical precision required to create wines that retain varietal character and structure with little to no alcohol.
Recent medal results include:

Craft and Innovation
With spinning cone technology now part of our in-house winemaking process, our team continues to refine and evolve the range. By carefully removing alcohol while preserving delicate aromatics and structure, we are able to maintain the integrity of each wine.
It’s a technical process, but at its heart it remains about flavour, balance and craft.
We’re proud to be part of the global movement redefining what wine can be — offering choice without compromise.
