Giesen 0% Chardonnay is crafted from premium cool-climate fruit sourced from Hawke’s Bay and Waipara. Hawke’s Bay brings ripe peach, stone fruit and gentle mealy notes, while Waipara adds citrus lift and crisp acidity.

The bouquet shows citrus and stone fruit layered with subtle French oak. On the palate, creamy vanilla and fresh zest lead into a silky, smooth finish with lingering buttery, toasty notes. Balanced and expressive, it delivers the complexity you expect from Chardonnay, without the after-effects.

We begin by crafting a premium, full-strength New Zealand Chardonnay. A portion of the blend undergoes malolactic fermentation and maturation on French oak to build texture and complexity. Once complete, we use advanced spinning cone technology to gently remove first the aroma, then the alcohol.

The delicate aromatics are captured and blended back into the wine, preserving its vibrancy and varietal character. The result is a smooth, dry-style alcohol-removed Chardonnay with low calories and true depth of flavour.

"A simple fruity expression with flavours of peach and nectarine, with some apple and citrus peel notes. A creamy mouthfeel fills the palate, with a nice acid line carrying flavours of stone fruits and tropical fruit,

For my money, this is the best NA wine. I love all of them, but the Chardonnay is the best for me. It has notes of the real deal and is very satisfying when I don't want to drink alcohol. The rose is also delicious."
