Pure Light

Pure Light Sauvignon Blanc

Crisp, vibrant and full of tropical citrus with fresh herbal lift. 50% less alcohol, 45% less calories without compromising on flavour.

Giesen Pure Light Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from premium fruit sourced from Marlborough and Waipara. A dry, sunshine-filled season delivered fruit with exceptional concentration and purity, resulting in bright varietal expression and freshness.

Expect pure tropical fruit and citrus layered with subtle notes of freshly cut herbs. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with balanced acidity and lively fruit intensity. Wonderfully expressive and beautifully composed, it delivers the unmistakable character of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in a lighter style.

Classic Sauvignon Blanc parcels were harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented cool in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity and freshness. The wine then spent time on lees to build texture and weight.

Following blending, a portion of the alcohol was gently removed using spinning cone technology. The result is a full-flavoured 6% alc./vol. Sauvignon Blanc that retains its structure, intensity and varietal character while offering a lighter option in alcohol and calories.

"Bright and fruity, fresh and varietal, with an herbaceous core framed by flavours of lemon and grapefruit, pineapple, and some gooseberry notes. Just dry, with some residual sweetness folding into a satin-cream mouthfeel, promoting pomaceous, citrus, and tropical fruits. Best drinking well chilled, from day of purchase through 2028."

"This is terrific. Low in alcohol but not lacking in flavour; showing passionfruit, kiwifruit and white flesh nectarine characters on the nose, leading to a flavoursome palate that's lively and lingering."
