Crafted from premium fruit grown in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough, this Organic Sauvignon Blanc reflects Giesen’s commitment to leaving the land better than we found it. Fruit is sourced from two outstanding BioGro-certified vineyards in the Lower Wairau Valley.
The 2023 season delivered favourable conditions across Marlborough. Rainfall reached 95% of the long-term average, ensuring good water supply throughout the growing season. Variable weather led to moderate yields and looser bunches, resulting in quality fruit. Dry harvest conditions allowed picking at optimal ripeness, while cooler evenings supported slow flavour development and vibrant natural acidity.
This wine shows expressive aromas of passionfruit, guava, grapefruit, lemon and elderflower. On the palate, tropical fruit flavours are balanced by subtle citrus notes of lemon and lime. Generous and complex, it finishes long with bright acidity providing structure and freshness.
