These results highlight the quality and consistency of the Giesen Estate range. Crafted to showcase distinctive regional styles, the wines balance generosity and freshness while offering excellent value.
The Giesen Estate Riesling has long been a favourite with New Zealand wine drinkers. It delivers vibrant citrus blossom, lime and sweet mandarin, finishing crisp and refreshingly off-dry. Fruit from Marlborough adds texture, citrus drive and ageability, while Waipara contributes lifted floral aromatics.
The Giesen Estate Pinot Gris is equally popular. Marlborough fruit brings brightness and structure, while Waipara adds expressive aromatics. Notes of pear and peach, subtle almond meal and a gently creamy palate lead into a lively off-dry finish.
The New Zealand International Wine Show is one of the country’s largest wine competitions, recognising wines distributed in New Zealand from across the world.
Congratulations to Duncan Shouler, Andrew Hawker, and the wider winemaking, viticulture and operations teams. These awards reflect the depth of quality across the Giesen Estate range and the people behind it.
