Crafted by Experts
Giesen 0% Chardonnay is the result of an experienced team of award-winning winemakers who specialise in no- and low-alcohol wines. As the first winery in New Zealand to own spinning cone technology, our team is able to carefully remove alcohol while retaining flavour, structure, and wine-like character.
The Quest for Great Taste
Classic cool-climate Chardonnay grapes were selected from Hawke’s Bay and Waipara. Hawke’s Bay fruit brings ripe peach, stonefruit, and texture, while Waipara contributes citrus notes and crisp acidity.
As with the rest of our 0% range, we begin by crafting a premium full-strength wine before gently removing the alcohol using spinning cone technology.
A portion of the base wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged on French oak, delivering creamy mouthfeel, subtle butterscotch, and toasty complexity. The remaining portion is aged in stainless steel to preserve freshness, fruit purity, and vibrant New Zealand acidity.
